SCOTLAND HOMECOMING 2014

Bob will be hosting a trip to Stirling to take part in the International Gathering of the Clans, in July 2014. This will be part of the 'Year of Homecoming' that will be taking place in Scotland throughout 2014.

Accommodation has already been booked in Stirling, now you just need to reserve your space!

35 spaces are currently on offer. The initial deposit is only $100. Bob wants to make this trip affordable, so he is striving to put together the most reasonable tour package possible. The full price will be confirmed at a later date. 

2014 will be an exciting year to visit Scotland, with celebrations taking place to mark the 700th anniversairy of the Battle of Bannockburn; the Commonwealth Games; the Sekonda Stirling Highland Games; and the Gathering of the Clans.

Clan Wallace members and supporters, let your interest be known! Bob is in the 'planning and scheming' phase of this tour, and he wants to hear from anybody who may like to join. Keep an eye on our tours website, which will display details as they become available.

TARTAN DAY CELEBRATION 2012

Put on your tartan and head to Frankton, Hamilton for a fun day out. Enjoy Scottish culture in a family-friendly atmosphere and be entertained by talented dancers and musicians.

PIPE BAND CHAMPIONSHIPS TAURANGA 2012

Bob tells me the Nationals were a huge success - he takes his hat off to the Bay of Plenty Pipe Band for putting on such a grand event. Congratulations to our lucky bottle winner, from the Cantebury Caledonian Balmoral Pipe Band. Thank you for entering our draw, we hope you enjoy your prize!

Bob's tour to Cape Breton and the Celtic Colours Festival is now full. There are two spaces left on Bob's tour to the Highlands and Islands (including the Edinburgh Tattoo), so if you were thinking about joining, don't delay any further!

Today is my first day in the new Celtic Connexions office, and I am thrilled to be working in this spacious, well ventilated, fairly peaceful area. Bob has been excited about this place since he first laid eyes on it, and now I can truly appreciate that excitement! 2012 marks the beginning of a new chapter for Celtic Connexions Ltd, and we hope you will all remember us when you require Celtic gifts and attire - we are still here, and we want to work with you!

Hello Friends,

Thank you to those who attended our St Andrew's Day celebration. I had a lovely time meeting and chatting to you friendly folk. We were incredibly fortunate to have such a fantastic line-up of talented musicians who gave wonderful performances for our entertainment. It was good fun having a go at Scottish Country dancing after so many years. We refueled with a delicious haggis meal, and then continued the dancing. Be sure to get your tickets and join us for our next event, the Robert Burns Supper, 25 January 2012, 7pm at The Riv Bar and Bistro, in Hamilton East. There will be music, Burns speakers, and a haggis meal. Tickets cost $17 per adult (this event is not suitable for children), includes two drams of whiskey. If you are after a new Glengarry, contact Bob for a special deal on one from our new shipment. We can also order your own Clan badge (as seen modelled by Bob) please expect up to a six week wait for badge orders. Belts, sporrans.

As mentioned in a previous newsletter, our UK suppliers have deadlines for ordering - we have now past the deadline for 2011. If you are wanting Chirstmas presents, please check that we have the item in stock. Check our Trade Me listings for available products (please still check availability, just to be on the safe side, especially when rings are concerned).
