St. Laurence O’ Toole Pipe Band from Dublin has been crowned World Pipe Band Champions at Glasgow Green in front of 55,000 people. The runners up were Field Marshall Montgomery Pipe Band from Northern Ireland with third place going to Boghall and Bathgate Pipe Band. The event, which has been held in Glasgow for more than 60 years, drew people from all over the world to see 8,000 of the very best pipers and drummers compete.
